THG Presents: Celebrity Mistresses of the Year!

Where would THG be without good cheating scandals? Sure, these women are trashy beyond belief, but boy do they keep things interesting with their sexting, locking themselves in closets, making up sex tape rumors and such.
We despise them. And applaud their efforts. Below are THG's esteemed finalists for the Rachel Uchitel Award as the top celebrity mistress of 2010 ...
Devon James: So SexyJoslyn James Pic
Two of Tiger Woods' more disgusting, entertaining mistresses.
Devon and Joslyn James. Yes, we know Tiger Woods' mistresses are soo 2009. But Devon James and Joslyn James (no blood relation, LOTS of sexual relations) simply refused to crawl back in the hole from whence they came.
Brittney Jones. Ashton Kutcher's alleged mistress is relentless. That much cannot be disputed. Every time her accusations are shot down, she comes up with even more ridiculous ones. Threesomes, sex tapes ... snuff films may be next.
Erin Barry. She may not be an actual mistress, but when you're sexting Tony Parker and that's why he gets divorced from Eva Longoria, you're on the list.
Jasmine Waltz. A star-stalking pro if ever there were one. At least she said that David Arquette was only mediocre in the sack, though. Props there.
Capri Anderson. The porn star/stripper/escort/whatever she is co-starred in Charlie Sheen's now-infamous hotel meltdown, and having witnessed this chapter of his downward spiral, promptly moved to cash in with a lawsuit.
He may countersue for extortion. $h!t happens when you're Charlie Sheen.
Capri PictureBombshell
Capri (left) and Bombshell. Neither needs a second name.
Michelle "Bombshell" McGee. Not only is she the year's trashiest, her scandal was the most shocking, breaking up Jesse James and Sandra Bullock.
Add on her very special way with words, her soft porn tendencies, all the tattoos and having the audacity to blab non-stop about James for months?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Get Out of My Kool Aid!

On The Real Housewives of Atlanta this week, the women seemed more delusional than ever. And that's saying A LOT, we know.
Come along with our THG intern as she review the latest installment of this ridiculous Bravo series...
Delusion seemed to be wafting in the air this week in Atlanta!  Sheree went to see Ladyboy Lawrence after hours in his salon to get her hair done a la Diana Ross.  While getting coiffed she gets a call from The People Store, the premier talent agency in Atlanta, where she recently auditioned.
She's landed an agent.  She's also accepted a small part in a local play called "Child Support Man." Broadway, here she comes!
Making Like Diana Ross
Kim met with Mitchell, a choreographer Kandi set her up with, to rehearse her dance moves for her upcoming tour.  Kim claims to have 16 years of dance experience, but it's not apparent from the geriatric moves she's putting out on the floor.
She also claims to be a better dancer than a singer.  With Kim's attention span the size of a flea's ass, how she even manages to put one leg in front of the other to walk is an accomplishment in itself.
Getting ready to finally mail out her wedding invitations, Cynthia chats with sister, Maloria, about how stressed life is becoming for her.  Not only because of the impending wedding but because 50-year-old Peter and Nene are just not getting along.
50-year-old Peter walks in and when confronted by Cynthia about his recent blow-up with Nene, claiming not to know what she's talking about.  Can it be that 50-year-old Peter is jealous of Cynthia's relationship with Nene?  Cynthia begs him to get along with Nene.  For the sake of everyone's sanity, listen to her Prickly Pete!
Dwight drops by Phaedra's to check out the baby, but more importantly to dish about Cynthia and Kim. Looking like a white-chocolate dipped Mad Hatter, Dwight informs Phaedra that not only did the due date of Aydan's arrival come into question again, but that her unborn child was referred to as an alien.
Oh, that Dwight, full of nothing but bon mots and good cheer.  Phaedra wants to know why Cynthia is "all up in her Kool-Aid" and what exactly qualifies Kim to be called a "head nurse.  Stripping at the Cheetah House in costume certainly does not.  Rising above it all and refusing to respond to the criticism, Phaedra's too high class to bother with such nonsense.
Laser Zapping
Kandi stops by Sheree's to help her run lines for "Child Support Man" and they both end up relating to the play.  Kandi wonders how it is that Sheree got no child support from Bob Whitfield, while Sheree asks Kandi about her situation.
Kandi thinks Sheree's going to do really well in the play, but informs Sheree that she won't be able to attend since she has prior committments.
Kim invites the ladies over to try out her new laser-sculpting "exercise" equipment. Why sweat your fat away when you can just laser it off while scarfing down a pizza and some chicken strips?
Cynthia lures Nene to the kitchen with the premise of wanting to talk about the recent battle between 50-year-old Peter and Nene.  Nene wants no drama, but agrees to chat.  Cynthia lets Nene know she was just giving her space and meant no harm.  She gives Nene a candle and pulls out a "friend contract" for Nene to sign.  Single Black Female anyone?  Nene signs it, desperate to get away from Cynthia's insanity.
Sheree's stage debut in "Child Support Man" draws a big crowd at The Soul Factory. Hoping Nene and 50-year-old Peter can contain themselves, Sheree has noticed that Nene's a little flirty with 50-year-old Peter.  Maybe that tension between them is about something else?
Nene and Phaedra are in the crowd, bored out of their minds, waiting for Sheree's appearance.  When she finally hits the stage, it's more like a cameo. Cynthia is not impressed judging by her "It's a long way from the chitlin circuit to Broadway" comment.  Amen.  But Sheree is ready for a standing ovation afterwards.  She's also ready to move into film.
NeNe Smoking
Phaedra confronts Cynthia after the play about the whole alien baby comment thing and Cynthia tells Phaedra to check her sources.  That damn Dwight... always stirring the pot!
Meanwhile, 50-year-old Prickly Peter apologizes to Nene for his recent blow-up and explains that's he's just a little bothered by the constant phone calls between her and Cynthia.  It's called having a BFF, Prickly Pete.  Look into it.
Nene and Kim have lunch where they discuss Cynthia's "friend contract."  Kim thinks Cynthia's a loon and should focus on her upcoming marriage to Prickly Pete instead of worrying about Nene so much.  Could Cynthia possible be "into" Nene?
Nene doesn't think so and, even if she was, Nene's strictly dickly.  Kim's shocked when Nene reveals she's okay with Gregg moving out if it comes to that and even more shocked when Nene says she's open to dating a white guy.  Kim mentions dating 25-year-old Kroy Biermann and how he's revived her va-jay-jay. Maybe Nene should give it a shot.
Oh, Kim, that's crazy talk!

WikiLeaks unleashes a flood of damaging US cables

Washington: Whistleblower website WikiLeaks unleashed a flood of US cables detailing shocking diplomatic episodes, from a nuclear standoff with Pakistan to Arab leaders urging a strike on Iran.

The leaked memos describe a Chinese government bid to hack into Google, plans to reunite the Korean peninsula after the North's eventual collapse, and quote Saudi Arabia's king as saying the United States should bomb Iran to halt its nuclear drive, telling it to "cut off the head of the snake”.

The confidential cables, most of which date from 2007 to last February, also reveal how the State Department has ordered diplomats to spy on foreign officials and even to obtain their credit card and frequent flier numbers.

The memos recount closed-door remarks that could stoke scandal, including Yemen's President telling a top US general: "We'll continue saying the bombs are ours, not yours" when discussing secretive US strikes on al Qaeda.

A description of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi showed him requiring the near-constant assistance of a "voluptuous blond" Ukrainian nurse.

The New York Times, Britain's The Guardian, Germany's Der Spiegel, France's Le Monde and Spain's El Pais published the first batch of the documents on Sunday, saying more would follow in the coming days.

WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange described the release as a "diplomatic history of the United States" that would cover "every major issue”.

Despite coming under a cyber attack that took down its main website earlier in the day, WikiLeaks started publishing the 251,287 cables -- 15,652 of which are classified "secret" -- from 274 US embassies around the world on a sub-website http://cablegate.wikileaks.org.

In an introduction, it painted the United States as a hypocritical superpower and attacked "the contradictions between the US's public persona and what it says behind closed doors.

"The cables show the extent of US spying on its allies and the UN; turning a blind eye to corruption and human rights abuse in 'client states'; backroom deals with supposedly neutral countries; lobbying for US corporations; and the measures US diplomats take to advance those who have access to them."

The White House hit back, saying the release was a "reckless and dangerous action" that put lives in danger.

"To be clear -- such disclosures put at risk our diplomats, intelligence professionals, and people around the world who come to the United States for assistance in promoting democracy and open government," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said in a statement.

The Pentagon, which was infuriated by the website's publication of secret Afghanistan and Iraq war logs earlier this year, also condemned the latest, more far-reaching release and unveiled new steps to prevent future leaks.

US officials had raced to contain the fallout by warning more than a dozen governments of the impending leaks, but Washington said it refused to negotiate with WikiLeaks, calling its possession of the cables illegal.

Assange has denied the planned release placed individuals at risk.

"As far as we are aware, and as far as anyone has ever alleged in any credible manner whatsoever, no single individual has ever come to harm as a result of anything that we have ever published," he said on Sunday.

The New York Times explained its decision to publish the cables by saying they "serve an important public interest”.

Millionaire Dewani named in another murder

London:  A Briton of Indian origin, accused of plotting the murder of his newly-married wife in South Africa, is now being linked to another similar carjack killing of an Indian-origin doctor in 2007, a media report said Monday.

Shrien Dewani, 30, a businessman from Bristol, is accused of organising his bride Anni's death.

Anni, a 28-year-old engineering graduate of Ugandan-Indian descent from Sweden, was killed in Cape Town Nov 13 when two men hijacked the car she and Shrien were travelling in. Shrien was let go by the attackers.

Dewani allegedly offered a taxi driver 1,400 pounds to arrange for Anni to be shot dead in a staged carjacking, according to claims outlined by a prosecutor in South Africa.
Now, police in South Africa are trying to build a new case against Dewani based on claims by the taxi driver, jailed for 18 years over the shooting, The Sun reported.

Zola Tongo, 31, told detectives he is convinced the groom arranged a similar previous murder.

The fresh inquiry centres on Pox Raghavjee, a 63-year-old doctor, killed by carjackers near his home in King William's Town in 2007.

Police in Cape Town have made the focus of their new probe a meeting between Raghavjee's widow, Heather, and Dewani and his father Prakash after Anni's death.

Her visit was requested by her daughter-in-law Alvita, a friend of the Dewanis in Bristol.

But police have no evidence Dewani was ever in South Africa before his honeymoon.

Heather Raghavjee said: "I am very upset, particularly for Shrien, at the awful accusations over my husband's murder. There is no substance in them."

Though South Africa wants Dewani extradited to face trial, he was freed on a 250,000 pound bail by the High Court, pending more hearings.

South African police chief commissioner Gen Bheki Cele said: "We don't like it but the UK assures us he has an electronic tag to stop him fleeing.

"We have a powerful case against him. The guy needs to come and try to clear his name."

A spokeswoman confirmed they were looking at Raghavjee's murder. "That investigation is ongoing, even if it means linking Mr Dewani to other cases."

Cool your horses dude…

“Virat Kohli is the next big thing”, “he da man”, “India’s future captain” and a plethora of such sobriquets filled my ears when the Delhi lad piled up century after century in trying circumstances. However, the words have been diluted in their impact as we Indians like to use the same set for every cricketer who hits a purple patch of form.

Now before everyone starts with their hate messages, let’s rewind a bit. Think Sanjay Manjrekar, Vinod Kambli, Yuvraj Singh, Mohd Kaif, Robin Uthappa and a dozen more great cricketers like them who flattered time and again, but they withered away with time, albeit after raking in some money and a handful of sparkling headlines to their names.

Everyone is not Sachin Tendulkar, we have to drill this simple fact in our heads. A young gun scores a ton and we go bonkers over him, hailing him as the new ‘saviour’ of Indian cricket. When will we grow up and let the players ‘earn’ their place in our hearts by standing the test of time?

I’m sure every series throws up a new hero for an Indian cricket fan and why wouldn’t it, we get someone scoring a few tons every now and then, we win a few and then the player fades away with a mediocre or ‘just ok’ career graph.

Agreed, Virat is a class act and the youngster is all set to make his mark on the world scenario and his role in the World Cup might well be the crucial difference that India needs. It still doesn’t qualify him as the biggest thing in Indian cricket and we would do the youngster a world of good by keeping unrealistic and unnecessary accolades at bay.

It has to be agreed that even Kambli, Kaif and Manjrekar were class acts of their time, look how they fizzled in a few outings and were replaced by equally limited talents.

If we just let Virat play his game and leave it up to his mentors and his own talent to find solid footing, the task of forming a formidable Team India would be a near reality than a distant dream.

‘Seniors, including me, to blame for India debacle’

Wellington: Dejected after the embarrassing ODI series whitewash against India, New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori on Monday said senior players, including himself, will have to take the blame for the debacle.

“It’s about players standing up and performing, Vettori told ‘ONE News’ on the team’s return to the country after a 0-5 drubbing in India.

“If we look at the reasons for the losses being because of selection or management structure we are absolving the players and myself included - so the players need to stand up,” said the talismanic leg-spinner, who has been leading the side since 2007.

Set to take a break to nurse a sore back, Vettori rejected suggestions that his multiple roles of being a captain, selector and key all-rounder were affecting the team’s power balance.
Vettori said his teammates are “comfortable” with his multiple roles but conceded that the fans might be running out of patience considering that his side has now lost 11 one-day international matches on the trot.
“Yeah, of course I don’t blame them. This team is hurting itself. It’s a miserable time for New Zealand cricket,” Vettori said.

“We did so well in the first couple of Test matches and then to let it all slip in the last Test and the one-day series, it hurts. And the only reason you play the game is to win and the only reason a lot of New Zealanders watch us play is to see us win.

“So we have to give that to them as soon as possible or otherwise it’s going to be really upsetting to a lot of people,” he added.

Kiwi coach Mark Greatbatch echoed Vettori’s views and said the team is “exceptionally disappointed and embarrassed.”
